Starting Pay: $60,000–$65,000+ per year

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Patrol Deputy!

We’re looking for motivated, dependable individuals who want to serve their community, work with a great team, and occasionally discover that the phrase “it’ll be a quiet night” is a curse.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Patrol Deputy, you’ll be responsible for:

• Responding to calls for service and assisting citizens
• Enforcing state and local laws
• Conducting traffic enforcement and crash investigations
• Investigating crimes and completing detailed reports
• Handling a wide variety of situations with professionalism and sound judgment
• Working with fellow deputies, emergency responders, and community members
• Helping keep Franklin County a safe place to live, work, and raise a family
• Becoming highly skilled at drinking cold coffee and finding new places to put your patrol paperwork

No two shifts are exactly alike. One minute you’re helping a stranded motorist, the next you’re chasing down a suspect, and five minutes later you’re trying to explain to someone why their driver’s license is not, in fact, “just a suggestion.”

COMPENSATION

Annual Salary: $60,000–$65,000
