Franklin County Road Department is now accepting applications for a full-time shop mechanic.  Duties include transmission, brake, and engine repair and replacement, clutch replacement and adjustment, diagnosing and repairing airlines, electrical lines, and hydraulic lines, assisting in the changing of wear bits and blades, maintaining fleet records, and oil changes and tune ups.  Applicant must have a CDL license or be able to obtain one within a year of hire, be willing to drive trucks, loaders, rollers, tractors, graders, and other misc. equipment.  Must be able to work professionally with vendors, co-workers, and the public, must be able to live 50+ lbs. and perform other duties assigned.  Applicant must be able to pass a DOT physical and submit to random drug testing.  Applications may be picked up at the Franklin County Road Department at 561 West Oneida, Preston, Idaho.  Please call 208-852-0610 with any questions.  The deadline for submitting applications is Thursday, July 3rd, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
