Working in
conjunction with local law enforcement, I can provide immediate
support and information for victims at the scene of domestic violence
and sexual assault, and ensure that they have the opportunity to make
safe choices.
Support groups offer an opportunity to break out of isolation, talk
with others who have been in similar circumstances, and meet women and
men who have overcome the violence in their lives. During Group,
a Parents as Teachers representative interacts with children,
providing them an opportunity to be with other children who are in
similar circumstances.
**
Franklin County DV/SA Task Force usually meets the 3rd
Tuesday of each month at Noon. Community members are invited to
attend. |
